Introduction

Brief Background

Waterberg Wildlife Sanctuary, formally known as Waterberg Predator Park / Caesars Bush Palace was founded in 2007 by Arthur and Rozelda Crewe.

It has been a very emotional journey with great satisfaction but also the opposite is true. This comes at a price where Arthur and Rozelda’s security business has been the main funding arm to the facility.

The devastating  flood in 2013 and another in 2017 was a huge blow to the park, as the damages went in to the tens of millions of rand where their insurance claim for flood damages was denied .

With this being the case, Arthur and Rozelda once again used any and every spare resource to slowly rebuild the park and to date have still not recovered from this.

Following the floods, the Covid pandemic hit the world in 2020 which very nearly crippled the park as well as their primary business. With no guests and visitors, the animals still needed to eat and the animal’s environment still needed upkeep and maintenance. We are still struggling in the wake of Covid and just managing to keep everything afloat.

Getting straight to the point. We are continuously trying to run fundriaser campaigns to raise much needed funds and the Sanctuary could really use your help.
Detailed below is our monthly budget and costs of the absolute necessities followed by our Project list and Wish List.

The project lists below detail the materials but not labour as most of the work carried out on the farm is done by ourselves. We do however welcome volunteers or sponsors that would pay labour to assist us in carrying out the various projects.

We are also more than happy for sponsors to pay the supplier of the materials directly.
